SMP Repair & Corrections in Atlanta
Bad SMP — blue-green pigment, oversized dots, blurred hairlines, patchy fading — can usually be fixed. Some cases are corrected with camouflage and blending; others need 1–2 laser removal sessions first. Justin has repaired work from studios across the Southeast and will tell you honestly which path your scalp needs.

Why SMP turns blue
Wrong pigments, wrong depth. Pigment placed too deep in the dermis scatters blue light back to your eye. It's a technical failure — and it's correctable.
Camouflage vs. laser-first correction
Camouflage works when the underlying pigment is still shade-appropriate and just needs blending. Laser-first is required when dots are too dark, too large, or wrongly placed. We'll show you photos of similar cases and explain what your scalp specifically needs.
What repair costs vs. doing it right the first time
Repair almost always costs more than a proper first-time procedure. If you're researching studios now — read our pricing page and choose deliberately.

What clients ask us most.
Can all bad SMP be fixed?
Most. Some cases correct with camouflage and blending; others need 1–2 laser removal sessions first. Justin will tell you exactly which path your scalp needs.
How long after laser before re-treatment?
Typically 6–8 weeks between laser sessions, and another 6–8 weeks after the final laser before new SMP begins. Skin must be fully settled.
Why did my old SMP turn blue?
Two common causes: pigment placed too deep (into the reticular dermis) or the wrong pigment chemistry. Both are avoidable with the right training and materials.
Why did my dots spread or look larger?
Usually needle depth or pigment concentration. Dots that were fine at week one but 'grew' by month three were placed too deep.
